Our Outstanding Results & Onward Progression

Tuition Extra ensures significantly better than average progression for students. Our young people consistently outperform against their expected outcome and progress. Our child-centred, flexible approach lends itself to these successes and to our young people’s outstanding track record and onward pathways.

We have a range of avenues available to meet the needs of any young people at our school.  This could mean implementing a holistic approach to learning at one of our Forest School or Farm sites or directing academic or therapeutic support.  Our team of professionals is able to incorporate a range of therapies from speech and language, occupational to psychotherapy, as well as directing our THRIVE Approach where appropriate. Our therapeutic provision is led by our SEN Team and experienced SENCO.  This team works hard to remove barriers to learning to improve student engagement with outstanding outcomes – our approach is truly child-centred.

“Ruth taught me during years 10 and 11. She helped me a lot with my learning and with life; a lot was going on at home and school, and things were tough. Every day at school, Ruth made me feel welcome; more than I felt at home during that time. Having my Maths and English has helped me a lot. I’m really lucky that I have a great job now. I am here at Auto Windowscreens, making a good life for myself!”

Billy, Tuition Extra Pupil

“I couldn't rate this company enough. My son absolutely loves Mark, Brittany, Maura and Amin and, in the short time he has been seeing them, has progressed 2 levels in both Maths and Science. Ruth has been incredibly helpful in accommodating our busy schedule. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for tuition for their children."
