Our Tutors

Our High Standards & Successful Tutoring Team

Document Verification

All our tutors are DBS checked, subject specialists,  qualified with a QTS or an honours degree in taught subjects. Each tutor must provide reliable written character and employment references before registering a tutor to work with us. Proving they have relevant experience.

Safer Recruitment In Education

We are child-centred and as such our rigorous hiring process is designed to make sure that the tutor welcomed into the pupils’ life taps into their true life potential. Our process complies with the Safer Recruitment In Education requirements.

High Standards

All tutors have to meet extremely high standards to become part of the Tuition Extra Tutors’ team. Our professionals must have the right attitude, experience and appropriate qualifications to become a tutor. All our tutors are engaging and strive to make lessons enjoyable.

Collaborative Working

Tutors and professionals liaise with teachers, therapists, and health care professionals to establish any specific barriers to learning. They will then identify further support if needed. Our collective experience provides unique and powerful solutions.

Tutored Subjects &

Subject Specialists

We offer an extensive range of pathways and qualifications across the core and vocational subjects – English, Maths and Science and that extend into the Arts, Languages, Humanities, Music, Media, Construction, Hair and Beauty. As a registered JCQ exam centre, we can complete all Pearson and Edexcel qualifications in house. This includes A-Level, GCSE,  Vocational BTEC Entry Level One and Functional Skills qualifications.

Our educational package is truly unique, the breath of our pathways is unbeatable, as such we are Kent County Councils preferred provider – due to our vast curriculum, academic pathways and partnerships. We have a range of avenues available to meet the needs of any child or young people at our school.  This could mean implementing a holistic approach to learning at one of our Forest School or Farm sites, or directing academic or therapeutic support.

Our tutors liaise with each other to remove all barriers to learning, they then assess academic levels and confirm what the individual would like to achieve from their education. The team’s collective experience provides a unique and powerful solution that can respond, with bespoke and wrap-around precision, to a child or young person’s individual needs.
